ENDLESS


About

ENDLESS is a projection-based imaginary space conjured out of reflections between glassless mirrors and projection surfaces, connected at a 90° angle. Created illusion of depth and crossing animated planes challenges spatial perception, constantly changing perspective with the viewer's position in space and the projected content. Animation follows the idea of a setup and expands the optical illusion with it’s specific geometric forms.

How It Works

The setup is arranged in a “zig-zag” shape where specific surfaces are set for frontal video projection or LED panels, next to a neighbouring surfaces out of glassless mirrors.

Thanks to a 90 degree angle between planes, projected animation reflects in a mirror and creates illusion of depth that challenges spatial perception, changing with the viewer's position and the projected content.

SPACE REQUIREMENTS

A. VIDEO PROJECTION
Dimly lit spaces are ideal, completely dark rooms are not required as the projection surfaces are high-contrast rated.

B. LED PANELS
Works in all lighting conditions, even in well lit spaces.

STRUCTURE

The structure is modular and easy to assemble, delivered flat-pack.

FLAME RETARDANCY

All the materials used are B1 certified - flame retardancy.


Endless.Room

ABOUT

ENDLESS ROOM is an evolution of the concept. Using 360° circle setup with additional mirror on the ceiling optically doubles the space. Experience the non-existing space that never ends.

Freestanding, with ceiling in glassless mirror.

Authors

SIMON MORASI PIPERČIĆ

Established in ’13, Simon Morasi Piperčić is a Zagreb-based design office that works on various projects ranging from product, furniture, spatial design and installation to art direction and strategic consultancy. The office has been granted with some of the most highly considered awards - German Design Award in 2017, twice Red Dot in ’13 and ’15 and Interior Innovation award in ’15. In ’14, they were a part of the team that designed Croatian pavilion at the Venice architecture bienalle. Their work was published in several renowned magazines (Dezeen, Domus, Frame, Designboom etc.) and exhibited worldwide.

VEDRAN KOLAC

Born 30 March, 1980 in Čakovec , Croatia, and currently living in Zagreb. Kolac has a formal education in mechanical engineering, naval architecture, philosophy and information science. He practices generative design methods in music and computer graphics under the pseudonym Onoxo. Kolac also works as a designer, developer and consultant in digital media production for design studios and communication agencies.
